Rules Governing This Department:
Please Read All Rules Carefully
A. Entries for Art Hall are open July 8th - 18th
online and in offi ce. Entries close and must
be into the Senior Fair Board Offi ce by 3pm.
On Saturday July 18th 2026. If entries are
mailed, you may check with the fair board of-
fi ce at 513.892.1423 to see if they have been
received before the deadline. We are not
responsible for delay or loss of mailed entries.
NO Late Entries Accepted.
B. Open Class exhibitors must purchase a Soci-
ety Membership, 4-Day Pass or 7-Day Pass.
This pass gives you 50 entries for the Art
Hall. Once 50 entries are made the cost is
.50¢ per entry. Except for Junior or Children’s
Classes.
C. ENTRY FEES: ALL Exhibitors will be
charged a one time $2.00 exhibitor fee
each year, regardless of online or in per-
son entries. If participant qualifi es by age,
to enter Jr./Child Division Classes and is not
a FFA, 4-H, or Cloverbud member, there is
a $5.00 entry fee. (This fee does not include
gate admission. $5.00/day for 12 and under,
or$5.00for a wristband for the whole week.) If
this Jr./child enters any Sr./adult classes, they
must purchase a 4-day or 7-day pass instead.
D. Exhibitors may enter as many classes as
desired, but may make only one entry in
each class or subdivision.
E. Garden clubs may enter only under Gar-
den Club name, not an individual.
F. All horticulture specimens must be grown by
the exhibitor. All houseplants must have been
owned by exhibitor for at least 2 months.
G. Houseplants having received 1st Place in the
previous year cannot be entered the following
year.
H. All specimens should be clean and free of
spray materials, disease and insects.
I. All cut specimens must be displayed in
CLEAR, NON-COLORED GLASS containers

of suitable size. (Entries displayed in paper
cups, cans, etc. Will not be judged.) Entries
should be tagged before bringing to fair.
J. On horticulture entries, leaves and/or thorns
below the waterline should be removed.
K. Waxed paper, soft foam or other suitable ma-
terial may be used for support of horticulture
specimens in their containers.
L. Entries should include name of specimen,
if known, for educational purposes. (More
consideration, when judging, will be given to a
groomed specimen, correctly named, labeled
and attractively staged.
M. Plant material used in artistic arrangements
can be obtained from any source. Plant ma-
terial used in artistic arrangements should be
listed on a 3x5 card. No artifi cial plant material
is permitted.
N. The standard form of judging will be used and
will be done by accredited judges of the Ohio
Association of Garden Clubs.
O. All articles will be released on Sunday, August
2nd, 2026 between 10:00am & 12:30pm. Un-
claimed articles will be considered abandoned
and may be disposed of as the Butler County
Agricultural Society sees fi t.
Division 1– House Plant
NOTICE:
• Houseplant entries must be in place Saturday,
July 25th between 9:00 and 11:00 am.
• These entries will remain for the duration of the
fair. They will be released Sunday, August 2nd,
2026 between 10:00am. - 12:30pm.
• The owner may groom their plant Monday, July
27th between 9:00am. And 10:00am
• Judging will begin on Monday, July 27th after
Garden Clubs.
